How to Improve Your Memory (Article 6)

I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of brain training apps. For me, it’s about taking real steps to make sure that my mind stays sharp. So here are some things I’ve been doing to keep my brain sharp.

STEP 1: Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is the most important part of keeping your brain sharp. If you don’t get enough sleep, your brain doesn’t process information as well. This is especially true during the first few hours of your sleep. So make sure you get at least 7-8 hours a night.

STEP 2: Eat Healthy

Your brain requires certain nutrients to function. One of the biggest is omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3s are found mainly in fatty fish, so eat a healthy diet including seafood.

STEP 3: Exercise

Aerobic exercise keeps your brain sharp. It also increases your blood flow which helps you think more clearly.

STEP 4: Learn Something New

Learning new things keeps your brain sharp. So try to learn something new every week. You can learn something by watching videos on YouTube, reading articles online, or even listening to podcasts.

STEP 5: Set Aside Time for Meditation

Meditation helps your brain to stay calm and focused. It’s also been shown to boost brain activity.

STEP 6: Do Brain Puzzles

Brain puzzles are a great way to learn new things. They’re easy to do and keep your mind sharp.

STEP 7: Work Hard

Working hard keeps your brain sharp. You may need to work long hours, but it will pay off in the end.

STEP 8: Don’t Overthink

Overthinking causes anxiety and stress. Avoid overthinking by being aware of your thoughts.

STEP 9: Stop Procrastinating

Procrastination is a major cause of stress. By making yourself do something now, you avoid the stress of waiting.

STEP 10: Take Notes

Taking notes keeps your mind sharp. It’s one of the easiest ways to remember things.
